Grape Line Bus Resumes Walla Walla to Pasco Route
June 12, 2006
TO: Walla Walla Intercity Bus Service Stakeholders
SUBJECT: Termination of Grapeline Bus Service
Under a contract with Washington Department of Transportation (WDOT), Genie Tours initiated the GrapeLine Daily bus service between Walla Walla and Pasco in September of 2005. This intercity connection with Greyhound in Pasco will be terminated on June 30 in response to WDOT's decision not to renew its contract with Genie Tours.
WDOT also announced that it will replace the GrapeLine bus service with a yet to be determined bus service between Ellensberg and Walla Walla (a corridor currently served 6 times per day by Greyhound except Pasco - Walla Walla segment and free bus service provided by People for People to Yakima Valley cities).
The entire staff at Genie Tours is pleased to have provided courteous dependable intercity bus service to the Walla Walla community since September 2005. Thanks for your support.
