Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to produce the 35th Annual
Walla Walla Balloon Stampede! The longest running Balloon Stampede in the Pacific Northwest. Every year we marvel at how our hometown event has grown to be a prominent regional, even national event! While the economic significance of the Balloon Stampede is obvious, it is important that we remember the event’s roots – it should first and foremost be a FAMILY EVENT, with fun and entertainment for all
ages.
This event is made possible through the generous sponsorship of our community businesses and partners, and the extraordinary volunteer commitment of individuals and community organizations. Each year, hundreds of volunteers provide the talent
and hard work, while a variety of businesses and donors provide the necessary funding for this very special event.
The Walla Walla Balloon Stampede:
• Is the longest running hot air balloon event in the Pacific Northwest.
• Draws regional television networks to Walla Walla.
• Attracts radio and television coverage
• Fills all local motel/hotel rooms during the weekend.
• Fills local campsites and restaurants during the weekend.
• Focuses more regional media attention on the Walla Walla Valley than any
other event.
• Has been voted – Top 100 Events by the American Bus Association.
• Is the largest FREE community event in the Walla Walla Valley
• Was voted “Best of the Best” for 2008 Event of the Year
