Wa-Hi special needs students raise money for WW City Library expansion project
Students in Mrs. Baker's Vocational Employability Skills class has been involved in a civics project to help raise money for the City of Walla Walla Children's Area expansion project.
The students recently toured the library and learned about the plans to expand the children's section. The students decided to help raise the matching funds needed. They are selling raffle tickets to win a "reading teddy bear." The students are passing out informational pamphlets and asking for donations.
Three Walla Walla locations that have allowed them the opportunity to set up displays and ask for donations:
PLAZA SAFEWAY
LONEYS
SUPER 1 FOODS
Thus far, the students have raised more than $800. Keep up the great work!
