The state Attorney General's Office said it has launched an investigation.
Customers of Utopian Travel say they received savvy, pressured sales pitches for memberships starting at $11,000. Nine customers, some paying negotiated prices of as much as $4,500, told The Oregonian that they soon found the club offered no significant savings and asked for a refund but were refused. At least 19 customers have filed complaints with the state and many others have posted negative comments on several online travel Web sites. Oregon Business News - Utopian Travel
