Rising Star 4-H Club members wanted to help the community by collecting food for the Blue Mountain Action Council. The BMAC is a non-profit organization that supplies food to all three local food banks. These food banks provide food to needy families throughout the year.
Rising Star members planned to collect and/or buy food for the BMAC in the month of March. Our club was able to gather lots of food, which we delivered to the center on March 29, 2005. We have a goal to continue to collect food for this cause throughout the year. Rising Star 4-H Club would like to help this center because they help feed so many families.
The BMAC was very happy that we chose to help their organization. We were told “What you kids are doing, is FANTASTIC! We appreciate it very much. There are a lot of local families that need this food. Thank you!” We were very proud of what we did.
