Wine industry, move over - Walla Walla is a fast becoming a Mecca for creative spirits. In order to help expand and support the local creative movement, artists of all kinds have joined together to present "An Evening With Local Artists" at the Carnegie Arts Center, 109 S. Palouse St. in Walla Walla on Thursday, May 26th.
More than a dozen local authors, poets, songwriters, painters, sculptors and multi-media artists have banded together to showcase their creative talents at the public event. Admission is free with complimentary refreshments provided by the Carnegie Art Center and the Walla Walla Artists' Alliance.
In addition to experiencing original songs, interpretive readings and discussions on the creative process, visitors can purchase books, CDs and other artwork directly from the artists.
The Walla Walla Artists Alliance provides a casual support network for Walla Walla’s growing pool of creative talent by bringing artists together to share experiences and ideas with each other and with the general public. Its mission is to support the creative process and to help Walla Walla artists promote themselves and each other. For more information, visit
