(RTTNews) - Thursday afternoon, Key Technology, Inc. (KTEC | charts | news | PowerRating), a provider of automated inspection systems, said it initiated several significant cost reduction actions, including closure of the Freshline Machines manufacturing and engineering operations in Sydney, Australia, to bring down the operating expenses in line with the current business level.
The Walla Walla, Washington-based Key Technology further disclosed that it expects to close the Freshline Machines manufacturing and engineering operations in Sydney on September 30, 2006. Upon the closure of this facility, the company would integrate the Freshline operations into existing operations in Walla Walla.
