Rising Star 4-H Club Clothing Drive and Household Item Donation

The Rising Star 4-H Club decided to gather donations of clothing and household items to donate to the Humane Society Thrift Store. The Thrift Store provides a good portion of the income that the Humane Society operates with. Our club is very passionate about helping the animals in any way that we can.
Our members wanted to collect as many items as possible. We asked friends and neighbors for any items they might be willing to donate. Everyone was very supportive and generous. We were able to donate ten large garbage bags FULL of coats and clothing, a twin mattress with frame, four bicycles, rocking chair, baby bassinet and several boxes of kitchen/household items! We felt very successful.
The Humane Society is a non-profit organization that relies on income from the Thrift Store to feed, house and find permanent homes for the animals at the shelter. They are very appreciative of any help that they can get.
The Rising Star 4-H Club is also raising money for their club funtions by selling a cookbook. If interested in supporting the new 4-H Club buy purchasing a Cookbook, please call, Angie at 558-3960.
