Del Taco Continues Washington Expansion
LAKE FOREST, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 25, 2005--Del Taco today announced it has signed a franchise development agreement for three new restaurants to be located within the Washington counties of Walla Walla, Benton, Franklin and Yakima. The agreement increases Del Taco's planned number of restaurants in Washington to 21.

Del Taco Franchise got started in 1964, and with the success of its first restaurant led to expansion of a second store in Corona, California.
In 1973 the name was offically changed to Del Taco, Inc. from Red-E-Foods Systems, Inc. Expansion of more stores continued and today with over 400 restaurants across the country, Del Taco is the second largest Mexican/American chain in the United States.
Del Taco recently added the Crispy Fish Taco to its menu and it immediately became one of the chain's biggest-selling items. -
