COEUR d'ALENE -- Visitors to Coeur d'Alene now have a unique wine bar to frequent now that Coeur d'Alene Cellars opened its Barrel Room No. 6 Wednesday evening at 503 Sherman Ave., Coeur d'Alene, ID.
Kimber Harris, who along with her family owns Coeur d'Alene Cellars, said the Barrel Room No. 6 wine bar will feature its own award winning 2002 Syrah and 2003 Viognier (pronounced Vee-on-yay), both Rhone varietals, as well as several other wines made especially to sell at the tasting room.
They will also offer wine from two other North Idaho wineries, Pend d'Oreille Winery in Sandpoint and TimberRock Winery in Post Falls.
"We are carrying some other wineries mainly to give our customers a greater selection," Harris said. "Until our portfolio of wine fills out a little bit, we are concentrating on just regional wines."
Coeur d'Alene Cellars just finished bottling seven different wines, which are not ready to be released yet. Two wines in particular are being taken seriously in the wine world.
