This is the longest running Balloon Stampede in the Pacific Northwest. This hometown event has grown to be a prominent regional, even national event! While the economic significance of the Balloon Stampede is obvious, it is important that we remember the event’s roots – it is first and foremost a FAMILY EVENT, with fun and entertainment for all
ages.
This event is made possible through the generous sponsorship of our community businesses and partners, and the extraordinary volunteer commitment of individuals and community organizations. Each year, hundreds of volunteers provide the talent
and hard work, while a variety of businesses and donors provide the necessary funding for this very special event.
The Walla Walla Balloon Stampede:
• Is the longest running hot air balloon event in the Pacific Northwest.
• Draws regional television networks to Walla Walla.
• Attracts radio and television coverage
• Fills all local motel/hotel rooms during the weekend.
• Fills local campsites and restaurants during the weekend.
